Everest Insurance Company Ltd. declared twenty per cent cash dividend from the profit of 2009/10. The same has been approved by the Company’s 16th. AGM held on Wednesday 16th March 2011 (Chaitra 2, 2067). EIC has made Rs.41 million profit in this fiscal year. The AGM of the Company has also elected Mr. Rajendra Kumar Khetan, Mr. Ratan Lal Sanghai, Mr.Niranjan Kumar Tibrewala, Mr.Prem Prakash Khetan, Mr.Madhu Sudan Agrawal, Mr.Om Prakash Sikariya, Mr.Birendra Kumar Shah, Mr.Ravi Kumar Tibrewala and Mr.Prasad Gyawali as members to the Board of Directors (BOD). The Company has achieved a growth of Forty-one per cent during this fiscal year by earning an insurance premium of Rs 632 million.

Everest Insurance paid Rs 112.3 million in settlement of claim for damage in physical infrastructure due to flood at Khudi Hydropower, one promoted by private sector. This is most probably highest amount paid by any insurance company in Nepal for settlement of claim under Hydropower’s Fire Policy.
